About Tammy...
Tammy Bradley received her BS in Physical Education and Sociology from Brigham Young University, Provo Utah. She received her MS in Health, Physical Education and Recreation in Sports Administration from St. Mary’s College, Moraga California. Tammy will graduate with her PhD in Sports Psychology, with an emphasis in Sport Pedagogy, from the University of Utah in May 2009.
Tammy has been consulting athletes and performers since 1995, and has assisted people of many ages and abilities to accomplish greater successes in their sport. Her experience includes working with athletes that have competed at all levels from amateurs to professionals. Tammy has also worked with individuals who, under medical supervision, are overcoming emotional and physical hurdles after surgery or other types of injuries. In addition to private consulting, hospitals, health clubs, public and private schools have sought Tammy’s expertise with the development of programs related to weight management, body image and physical fitness. She has also created programs related to overcoming anorexia, bulimia and obesity.
Since 1984, Tammy has taught college courses in subjects ranging from Health and Wellness, Fitness, Nutrition, and Life Skills. She is the principal consultant of her own personalized wellness program called Power With-In. This program includes Life Coaching, consulting, and personal workout regimens. She has also lectured on subjects including life management, lowering stress, overcoming fear, and becoming all you can in spite of obstacles.
Love of sports has been an important factor in Tammy’s life. She has participated in basketball, track and field, and softball, and competed on the collegiate level in gymnastics. She stays active by jogging (preparing for half marathons), mountain biking and coaching youth sports.
Tammy’s professional affiliations include the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), the International Society for Sport Psychology (ISSP), the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD), and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE).
Tammy believes that there is no obstacle too big if you want something bad enough. The power is with-in you.
